AZbottle exists to help you locate all of the tasty, alcoholic (or non) goodness that Arizona has to offer! Every vineyard, and brewery across the state will be represented. Inside, you'll find wineries and breweries and their profiles with location, contact, social information with hours of opperation and photographs to give you an idea of what it's like there. AZbottle comes complete with a comprehensive search engine so you can discover what exists in a particular city in Arizona.

There are a few things to know about this project. First and foremost, AZbottle is sort of a way for me to keep track of what's out there. For years I've always hoped for a website that would pull wineries, breweries and restauraunts that serve local beer or wine in to one central location. I kept waiting until I remembered that I actually do web design and I could just create something!
I would also like to take this project opportunity as a way for me to get my photography hobby satisfied by taking pictures of the places we visit. Basically, the photographs that are on AZbottle are just placeholders until I can change them out to ones that I have taken.
What Makes This Website Work
It takes a lot of interaction with every single business on this website to keep things updated and current. Right now, it's just myself doing the updating so it takes a bit of time. I have scattered some email links around the pages asking if this is correct information and if it's not, you can click the link which will open up your email client. The email is pre-populated with a subject and the name of the business so you don't have to fill anything out other than the correct information.
AZbottle is just ARIZONA. I just want to keep it short and simple and a bit more romantic. I believe Arizona has enough great wines and beers to keep me busy!
Information Gathering
At this point, it's strictly manual. It's me googling information and crossing it to yelp and each businesses website to make sure information is correct (as long as that information is kept up to date). Then I go behind the scenes and plug in that information to the AZbottle. Then I'm back in google looking for images that will meet the resolution requirements needed for the businesses profile page. There are some images out there that are taken that are degraded because of where they come from. This is why I would like the chance to take my own photographs and use them.
If you ever see a guy with a nice camera taking random photographs of your place, it might be me! Chances are, I would likely introduce myself and let you know that I will be roaming around taking pictures.
The content used on the business pages are simply copied and pasted from either facebook or their respective websites. If you'd like to customize what is shown on AZbottle, please don't hesitate to reach out to me!

Also, if there's something, a feature, you'd like to see on AZbottle, I would be totally open to it!. Just drop me a line and let me know! This website is constantly evolving so I could plug in any features on the fly. Because of that, too, there will be slight changes made to the business profiles on a periodic basis.
