About Uptown Burger

This place was good! We’ll be back. We were going to AJ’s (nearby) and thought we get some ready-made food in the cases but since they were so busy we decided to check out Uptown Burger. You order at a kiosk and find your table and the food is brought to you. I had the Uptown Burger which is probably their “basic” burger. I usually like to start with the most basic version of something before I branch out to the more eclectic stuff.

When the burger showed up I was pretty amazed at the size of it. It was very juicy with all of the good stuff on it and the beef was pretty amazing. I ate the whole burger and usually after I do that, I feel gross and full but this burger didn’t make me feel that way. I think they must use a better beef than most places. I’ll have more about them further down the post.

My partner had the Grape & Gorgonzola salad which she wasn’t too impressed by. To her, there wasn’t enough goronzola cheese on it and it just seemed like the kind of salad she could have made at home for a fraction of the price. Feeling guilty, I insisted that she have the last two bites of my burger and to dig in to the fries. She took the salad home to finsih up at home. They did offer local beer (and I think wine). I had the Wren House Brewing – “Big Spill Pils”. I ended up taking it back because it tasted like an IPA and I’m not the biggest fan of IPA’s. I did have the Hefeweizen from Fate Brewing Company. And that was more of my flavor with the burger.

All in all, this was a great experience with a great view of the Catalina Mountains from the front patio. Which is always very important to us!
